Appetite

When you sit down to eat with a ruler, consider carefully what is before you; and put a knife to your throat if you are a man given to appetite. Do not desire his delicacies, for they are deceptive food. Proverbs 23:1-3 -- New King James Version

Never allow your appetite to become more persuasive or better yet, driving, than your discernment or value system. Hunger can be a blessing or a curse; it all depends on what has cultivated your hunger, and, what in fact you’re hungry for. Be careful to take time and evaluate what you’re hankering for; for eventually your hunger will be pacified. (Note: The word pacified is used in the epitome of its definition.)

I will be sharing a thought here each week. I encourage you to purchase a small journal, pray over this word this week and journal as God speaks to you concerning this subject.
